That's really beautiful. I love the emotion she has in her face. All of your work is beautiful. I can hardly wait to see more. : )
This is so beautiful. I always love the colors you use - elegant but moody.
What kind of paper is this on?
i used a molded rives BFK (of course after coating till it's stiff with clear gesso).
your work gets better and better, Stella! i love the color of the petals you used in her hair. so beautiful!
she has amazing shoulder blades.
very very nice.
i hope the show goes well this weekend!!
and i look forward to seeing your site updated..
you must have so much work to put up if you haven't updated in a year!
i do have a back/shoulder/bone fetish (?!). :)
thank you, donna!!!
i do have about 40 pieces to edit and post.... grrr... not looking forward to it.
i also have to do a press section too, which i never have even done before,
thus starting from scratch!
my favorite part of all of your work is the perfection in the skin and then the ink outlines to emphasize it off the page. you inspire me!
i personally love that it gets very meditative painting the skin...
and actually i've outlined it with black oil paint this time, instead of ink (so it sits better).
thank you so much!!! :)
I will try to swing by at the SF show.
This one is really nice...your skin textures are becoming something quite lovely.
thank you, kathy!
and thanks for all the wise words of advice and encouragement reagarding my other posts.
i know that kind of stuff is inevitable, but just hoping that nobody would have to waste
the time and energy into such negativity, not just me...
thank you again!!
No problem at all! I'm glad it was resolved quickly.
Wow. Her face is probably the most realistic one you've painted so far. I LOVE it!
I swear someday I'm moving to California so that I can see all these shows :P
i'll be showing elsewhere more as well in the coming months/years...
hopefully more of east coast galleries too. :)
I really love watching your work evolve.
that is good to hear that it is evolving. :)
wow! @ her expression. those eyes and lips.
when i saw here, it literally went *thump* in my heart.
this is a really REALLY well done piece. amazing stella! :o
aw, audrey, thank you thank you thank you!!! *^_^*
i had a lot of fun with this piece... inspired by the same korean Gisaeng (~like geishas)
thanks so much!! that's what my husband said too. :)

an amazing piece
I have to say this piece is absolutely amazing. Probably one of my favorites of yours- just beautifully done~!! I saw this one and got a little chill from it--
I've contacted the gallery about the purchase list, but it seems I'm a little way down on the list. I hope I get lucky, but if not I second the other person's desire for a print ;)
Thanks for sharing
thanks so much for your words and thoughts. :)
i just got an email from the gallery that it was sold today...
sorry about that!!
but we're planning on issuing the print through the gallery,
so i'll post about it later when it happens!
thank you again,

Re: an amazing piece
Thanks for the reply- I am very happy to hear there will be a print of this one. It's just too beautiful to not pick up a print I'm definitely pretty excited about it.
I'm glad to hear it sold so quickly- congrats~ I emailed the gallery for your march 08 show list in the hopes that I am possibly early enough for getting a piece from that show~! Thanks again~!
this piece is beautiful. i love your work! :)

Now that piece really catches the eye.. My favorite of your newbies since the pieces you created for the "smitten" show.. This one would be great as a print... ;-)
i love the nose. =D
Your work is so beautiful.
I love the harsh outline because it's such a great contrast to the stunning and smooth painting it contains.
I really, really would like to know when this becomes a print because I would LOVE to get my hot little hands on it! SO BEAUTIFUL!
Please let us know when you do sokme Prints.
Take care of yourself,
I really do know how to spell "THIS" !
